Hospital accreditation is a quality certification, exclusive to healthcare institutions. This is a method of voluntary, periodic and private assessment, to ensure quality of care through pre-defined standards.
Seeking to increasingly ensure a quality service to our patients, we sought our first certification by the Brazilian Accreditation Organization (ONA – Organização Nacional de Acreditação). This certification is divided into three levels, as follows: Level 1 – Accreditation, Level 2 – Full Accreditation and Level 3 – Accreditation with Excellence.
In February 2016 we achieved the certification Level 2 – Full Accreditation.
The certification process provided many benefits to hospital management, we now have our goals and targets well-defined, we understand our weaknesses and work to improve them. Thus, we ensure the quality and safety of our services, and increase the level of satisfaction of our patients.
We also highlight as benefits the establishment and standardization of administrative and care processes, integration of all sectors and hence the improvement of internal communication, performance management instruments, and the involvement of senior management in all adjustments, and most importantly the safety of our services.
The certification assures our patients and potential customers that we are a concerned institution and committed to quality and safety for the services we provide.
